Photos from Today's Action at the House Appropriations Committee



Activists from the Encampment to Stop the War Occupied the steps of the Rayburn House Office Building after the Democratic Party-controlled Appropriations Committee denied any antiwar presence at their hearing.



Troops Out Now Coalition organizer and Army Veteran Larry Holmes shouting "Cut off the funds! End the War! Bring the Troops Home," while being arrested by Capitol Police attempting to silence the voice of the people. We will be back...


"A Vote to Fund the War is a Vote for War!" - Activists reject political posturing, non-binding resolutions, and phony timetables to demand "Bring the Troops Home Now!"

Dustin Langley, Navy Veteran and organizer with the Troops Out Now Coalition, attempted to attend the House Appropriations Committee Hearing, where members of Congress are planning to spend another $245 billion for war in Iraq, but the House leadership packed the hearing with staffers in order to keep the people out.
