Then the most remarkable thing happened! We wheeled our stacks of Stay in Washington- March 17 fliers in shopping carts. People responded to the printed announcements with cries of “Yes! We need to do it! ... It’s about time! ... Time for civil disobedience! ... I’ll be there! ... We’ll bring our tents!”. People, already overladen with paper handouts worked their way to us through the crowd, reaching over the heads of others, asking for our printed material that announced and described the new Stay in Washington mobilization as we passed them out to thousands. Enough with the “symbolic protests”! The people – young and old – of every level of society, ethnic group and color – are ready and want action. People seem appreciate - but have heard enough of the speeches by luminaries lined up by the leaderships of various anti-war coalitions. They want to act. read the full article at Axis of Logic
